2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid Review

The 2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid is a massive SUV hybrid with a big 6.0-liter V8 that packs a punch. The engine is combined with an electric motor for a grand total of 332 horsepower. The option of shutting down multiple cylinders is offered with the Active Fuel Management System offered by GM. Cylinder deactivation isn’t a new concept but its usefulness is made apparent immediately upon driving the SUV.
The continuously variable transmission (CVT) allows the driver to run on only electric power and can tow up to 6000 lbs. The heart and soul of this Hybrid SUV is the power that is unlike most. The hybrid SUV’s aren’t really there yet as far as fuel economy goes but they are getting there. The 2010 Yukon Hybrid is a shining example of the start of where the future of hybrid SUV’s could get to eventually.
