2009 Silverado Hybrid Review

GM has unveiled its 2-mode Hybrid Silverado for 2009 and it is on the market as one of the only hybrid trucks available. The 6.0 V8 Silverado doesn’t let you down when it comes to power and pull. The unique 2-Mode system allows the truck to run on all electric at low speeds even when heavy towing bogs down the truck. The braking system allows the extra energy to be stored in the 300 Volt electric battery. The fuel efficiency is still low but it makes a difference when towing or hauling a load because the electric option saves you gas when in low RPM’s. The 2009 Silverado Hybrid is a great truck by comparison to its competitors, which are basically none.
