Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid
For 2010 Mazda is now leasing their Premacy Hydrogen RE Hybrid minivan. The Premacy has a hydrogen burning rotary engine that extends the range of the vehicle and burns cleaner than gasoline. The powertrain is basically the same as the Chevrolet Volt is using but the hydrogen engine sets Mazda apart from all others. One of the problems is that there are very few hydrogen filling stations out there at all. The five passenger hybrid isn’t much of a minivan but that’s what they’re calling it. The Premacy Hydrogen RE has a range of 125 miles and a 5,00 PSI tank. With a 110 kilowatt motor turning the wheels its lithium ion battery pack puts out a good amount of power for a five person hybrid.
